FOR YOUR BROADBAND
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The voxbox uses the sensitivity of voice to really test your network. Our innovative spectrograms will give you an accurate performance analysis.
SHARED CONNECTIONS:
The tests will give you insights on how voice and data will work on the same network.
Will normal data usage swamp the voice on a shared network, or is there sufficient capacity or low level data usage that would allow for the connection to be shared.
THE TESTS
To ensure you are getting the best out of the Voxbox, it provides a number of tests including:
FAST Test
Call Quality Test
Connectivity Test
Long Call Test
TAKE THE TEST
Take the power into your own hands by testing your network.
Simply choose the test that you’re interested in running and receive the results. You can run any of these tests as many times as you’d like.
HAVE YOU GOT
THE JITTER BUG?
This test measures your download speed and upload speed, as well as measuring your ping and jitter. Jitter is a particularly important metric for determining overall call quality. A low jitter (less than 6ms) is most desirable. This test takes approximately 20 seconds.
DIAGNOSE ANY
CONNECTION ISSUES
This test measures your download speed and upload speed, and also measures your ping and jitter. Jitter is a particularly important metric for determining overall call quality. A low jitter (less than 6ms) is most desirable. This test takes approximately 20 seconds.
LEARN THE HEALTH OF YOUR
CALL QUALITY
This test plays a voice file from your network to our servers and back again.
It compares the pre-recorded output file with a call recording of the return file to statistically measure the similarity of the two files. It uses software similar to the music streaming service Shazam.
You can listen to the return file (what you would hear in a phone call) so that you can also asses what the statistical call quality scores really means.
VOXBOX REAL TIME
HEALTH ANALYSIS
The test makes a call from the Voxbox on your computer network to our servers and then feeds two way audio from the device.
The test lasts for up to an hour and shows how the voice is performing on the network over that hour.
The output graph displays if you log into the system.
There is a realtime graph on the round trip timeof packets of data to and from our servers. Another monitors total packets sent and whether any packets are lost.
Another monitors jitter. At the end of the call there is a summary of the data over the last hour.
STRESSING A NETWORK
If the test runs with some additional traffic such as, file sharing, streaming services or data synchronising, you can get a good read on how these operations effect the network.
In particular you will see spikes in the voice jitter scores, and sometimes with weaker networks packet loss.
